February 20, 2024Governor’s Office Announces Access to Budget Address
The New Jersey Governor’s Office just announced the timing for and access to Gov. Phil Murphy’s Fiscal Year 2025 Budget Address which, according to a media advisory, will take place on Tuesday, February 27th, at 2 pm in the Assembly Chamber at the New Jersey State House.
Gov. Murphy’s 2025FY budget is expected to include $11.45 billion for state school aid, although that will not compensate for the loss of federal emergency COVID funding.
From the media advisory:
“Over the past six years, we have taken historic strides in building a stronger and fairer state — by leading responsibly and staying true to the New Jersey values that have guided us since day one,” said Governor Murphy. “With my proposed budget, we will continue lowering costs for our families, increasing opportunities in every community, and investing in the lifelong success of every child. Together, we will ensure New Jersey retains its proud reputation as the best place, anywhere, to raise a family.”
The Budget Address will be livestreamed on the Governor’s official YouTube channel:
