In a move to help educate New Jersey residents about the importance of school choice, Jersey 1st TV is launching a compelling 4-part series with special guests, coinciding with National School Choice Week. The first will launch today, Wednesday the 25th at 10am, with a new episode to follow each Wednesday at 10 am.
“This is an excellent opportunity to hear from some of the most accomplished, influential, and distinguished professionals in the education sector,” said Jim Lonergan, Jersey 1st Board Member. “They will share what school choice is, and address all the key topics surrounding this initiative to ensure everyone walks away better informed about why school choice is essential to a better education.”
Hosted by Erica Jedynak, a dynamic policy advisor and organizer in NJ state politics in numerous capacities – whose prestigious distinctions include NJ Globe’s Top 100 most Powerful People and InsiderNJ’s Power 100 List and Top 100 Policymakers – Jednyak is also the current COO for yes. every kid, a national non-profit organization which advocates for families so that every child has access to an individualized education, regardless of zip code.
The series’ guests will include:
- Ron Bolandi, former superintendent of Bedminster, Chester, East Windsor, Edison, Kearny, Montclair, Piscataway, Plainfield, and Winslow.
- Andrew Campanella, one of the nation’s leading experts on K-12 school choice, who serves as President and CEO of the National School Choice Awareness Foundation.
- Jenny Clark, Founder and Executive Director of LoveYourSchool.org, a nonprofit grassroots organization that helps families navigate school options to best benefit their children, with such options as tuition tax credits, scholarships, open enrollment, microschools, homeschooling and more.
- Peter Murphy, Senior Advisor for Policy at the Invest in Education Foundation, a nonpartisan, nonprofit that promotes education reform, especially as it relates to increasing educational choice, closing educational gaps, and improving K-12 education.
