Are NJ Schools Fully Funded? The Outdated Data Problem
February 13, 2025Legendary Hip Hop Rapper “Treach” at West Side High School
Toward the end of 2024, the Partnership for West Side High School brought the L.E.O. Program ((Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Opportunity) to Newark, part of a collaboration with the Leonidas Foundation. The leadership program assists students to plan and build a career. It is custom designed for West Side, providing students with high-level mentorship, entrepreneurship opportunities, leadership training, business curriculum, and networking activities.
One of the first initiatives of L.E.O. was an appearance late last year by hip-hop legend Anthony “Treach” Criss of Naughty By Nature, who was greeted by West Side Principal Akbar Cook, West Ward Councilman Dupré Kelly, and Leonidas Foundation Vice President James Ebert in the school’s newly redesigned business center,.
As an advocate for West Side High School, Treach joined the students to help formally launch the program. Please take a look at the video below.

I agree and welcome the reporting of school funding. The outdated data problem exists for all school districts. I hope that our politicians get a copy this article, and I hope people continue to testify in Trenton on these issues. Many changes need to be investigated and implemented for a thorough and efficient for our student population.
