Passaic Arts and Science Charter School, a network school of iLearn Schools, proudly concluded the ribbon cutting ceremony that marked the opening of its newly renovated Elementary (2-4) campus at 40 Tulip Street, Passaic NJ, 07055 on Friday, November 10, 2023. The symbolic ribbon-cutting moment signifies a new chapter in educational excellence, marking the official inauguration of the school. 

“I am so excited about the future as we continue to foster greater opportunities for the educational development of the children of Passaic,” Mayor Lora stated. 

The two-year renovation journey culminated in this grand opening event, showcasing the dedication and hard work invested in transforming the campus. During the renovation period, students were temporarily housed at 154 East First Street, Clifton NJ, emphasizing the commitment to continuity in education despite the construction challenges. 

The ceremony featured: 

● Welcoming remarks delivered by Dr. Nihat Guvercin, CEO and Founder of iLearn Schools, and Mr. Durim Memedi, the School Director. 

● A keynote address by Passaic Mayor Hector Lora. 

● A comprehensive tour of the school’s facilities, highlighting cutting-edge classrooms, technology, and recreational areas. 

The unveiling of this newly refurbished campus serves to elevate the pride and identity of the Passaic community. Mr. Memedi, the school Director, said, “Your presence here today is a testament to the collective support and unity that drives our mission. Together we weave a cloth of commitment and resilience to the betterment of our community. We’re not just beautifying the building, we’re fostering a sense of pride and togetherness.” 

Reflecting on the event, Dr. Guvercin, stated, “We didn’t just open doors to a building; we opened doors to a brighter future for our students and our community. This newly-renovated campus stands as a testament to our unwavering commitment to providing a high-quality education that prepares our students for success in an ever-changing world, and our dedication to the Passaic community.” The Passaic Arts and Science Charter School remains dedicated to fostering a positive and enriching learning environment, and this modern campus stands as a testament to its ongoing commitment to educational excellence.
