Update: This even has been cancelled.
On Friday June 2nd, 2022, at 1 pm, Parents Invincible, the non-profit that supports school choice and advocacy, is partnering with RaShawn Nelson of Lost Winner Entertainment, the Diamond Blackout Show, and 2Raree Management. Together they will host an end-of-school-year Stop the Violence event for middle school students who attend KIPP Whittier Middle School.
Students will be treated to a motivational message from community leaders, a fun dance contest with cash prizes, special prizes to students hand-picked by the staff for being “most improved,” and a performance by music artist and YouTube sensation 2Raree!
Diamond Thomas, host of the Diamond Blackout show and the MC for this event, said, he is “excited to help bring wholesome fun to the students” and sees this as “an incredible way to highlight the dynamics of education and dance culture.”
Shirley Irizarry, Executive Director of Parents Invincible, said she welcomed the opportunity to partner with Nelson, Thomas, and 2Raree’s management team because she feels it’s a great way for the students to “receive a positive message from an artist who is close to their age in a manner they can relate to.” All parties involved hope students will leave feeling encouraged, supported, and most of all, with a great memory of their school year! The event will take place in KIPP Whittier Middle School gym at 740 Chestnut Street, Camden, NJ 08103 at 1:00pm.
